PVCC Student Gets National Honor

April 16, 2007

A student from PVCC has been named one of the top 20 community college students in the country.

Benjamin Sargeant, an engineering student, was selected to be a member of the All-USA Community College Academic First Team, sponsored by USA Today.

Sargeant is the second PVCC student to ever receive this honor. The All-USA Academic Team program recognizes outstanding two-year students who are nominated by the colleges' presidents or CEO's.

Sargeant is about to graduate with the school's highest honors and a GPA of 3.94.
