After two years in office, Delegate David Toscano is seeking another term.

The Democrat is seeking re-election for the 57th District seat. The former mayor of Charlottesville says he has been honored to serve the people in his first two years in office and wants to continue pushing issues like education, the environment and fiscal responsibility in government.

"I've got to know what people think around here, and I hope that I am going to able to advance their agenda over the next two years, four years, or however long I intend to stay," he said.

Toscano is expected to go unopposed in the Democratic primary set for May 14. No Republican has declared candidacy for this office.
