Commuter Information and the American Lung Association celebrated the 17th annual Clean Commute Day.

A booth was set up on the Downtown Mall and different groups encouraged people to take the clean commute pledge. Organizers say the event aims to make people aware of the daily impact they have on the environment.

"People get in their cars everyday by themselves and don't realize the impact they are having on the environment. We want to bring their attention to it and let them know they don't have to commute everyday, but one or two days a week can make a big difference," said Rhonda Edmunds of Commuter Information.

CTS is offering free bus rides all day while Jaunt is giving free rides to anyone boarding with a bike.
