Investigators have made another big drug bust in Nelson County. Juan Cornejo-Garcia is expected to be in court on Wednesday for a bond hearing.
Deputies allegedly found more than two pounds of crystal methamphetamine in his car. According to authorities, the drugs have a street value of over $40,000. They hope that the arrest cuts down on meth trafficking in Nelson County.
"We know more now about some. We've got new players, new names that we can look into now. And it may lead us nowhere, but we have a feeling it's probably going to lead us in the right direction," said Nelson County investigator Mac Bridgewater.
Investigators believe that Garcia is in the United States illegally. He is charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute.
