Charlottesville Police Search for Check Fraud Suspect
Charlottesville Police are searching for a woman they say got away with $8,000 from area banks. Police say the woman committed check fraud by using the ID of someone in South Carolina.

Charlottesville Police are searching for a woman they say got away with $8,000 from area banks while pretending to be someone else.

Police say the woman in the picture above used three cash advance slips to get thousands of dollars from two different Wachovia banks on Emmett Street. She allegedly used the ID of someone in South Carolina to complete the check fraud.
Charlottesville Police ask anyone with information regarding this case to call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.

When did this crime occur? If the timestamp in the image is accurate, it occurred almost 6 months ago. so why is this only now being reported?
