City School Board Member Leaving

May 9, 2007

The Charlottesville City School Board is losing one of its members. Louis Bograd announced his resignation from the board Wednesday.

His wife accepted a position in Kentucky. He and his family will be moving to Lexington in the fall.

Bograd has served on the board for the past two years. During that time, he helped fill the vacant superintendent position and helped to create a strategic plan to guide the school division.

His resignation is effective July 11th. Anyone interested in running for the school board can attend an interest meeting Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Quality Community Council Conference Room on West Main Street.
