Bush Making Stop in Richmond

May 16, 2007

President Bush will make a stop in Richmond for a private fundraiser on Friday to help raise money for the Republican Party of Virginia.

The state GOP says the event will be held at the Goochland County home of Richard Sharp, chairman of CarMax and retired chairman of Circuit City stores.

Sharp also hosted a fundraiser with Vice President Dick Cheney back in 2005. The state GOP raised $766,000 in the first quarter of the year while Democrats have raised $1.75 million.
