Company Recalling Beef

May 17, 2007

A Michigan based company is recalling 129,000 pounds of beef products in 15 states, including Virginia. The USDA says that the meat products were made by Davis Creek Meats and Seafood.

The beef is being recalled because of a possible E. Coli contamination. The beef products were made between March 1st and April 30th and were shipped to distribution centers and retailers in Virginia and 14 other states.

The recall includes tenderized steaks and ground beef in boxes labeled "Est. 1947A." Symptoms of E. Coli include stomach cramps and diarrhea.
