Charlottesville native and celebrity violinist Boyd Tinsley addressed UVa graduates at Saturday's valedictory exercises.
He was voted by the Class of 2007 to speak. He advised them to not become conventional thinkers, but to take a different path like many of our country's great leaders.
“In Martin Luther King's ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, he refers to the generation of his grandchildren living in a country where people will be judged by who they were on the inside and not what they look like on the outside. You are that generation, and for what I see, you're living up to that dream,” said Tinsley.
Tinsley congratulated graduates and said they are a class full of future leaders of America.
