Black Friday shoppers at K-Mart in Charlottesville may have been after different items Friday morning, but they all have one thing in common, they're trying to cash in on doorbuster savings.
"We needed deals right now with money and stuff being tight, so any deals is good," said Tabitha Courtney.
Whether they were looking for clothes or toys or electronics, this holiday season shoppers say hitting the department and electronic stores in the early morning hours was well worth the deals.
Even if that meant standing in line at 3am Friday morning.
"At first, I didn't think it was [worth it] when we went outside at Old Navy and stood outside forever, but once we got in there, it was worth it," said Courtney.
Sherry Hill and her daughter Tabitha shopped for hours Friday morning, hitting stores like Old Navy, Walmart, Target, and K-Mart in search of the perfect gift for everyone on their Christmas list. The shopping tandem says after hours of shopping, long lines, and hundreds of dollars in savings, they are happy with their Black Friday purchases, and cannot wait until Christmas.
For those people who decided to catch up on some sleep instead of doing some early-morning shopping. Many stores are offering special deals all weekend long. Plus, for all you online shoppers, November 30 is Cyber Monday.
