Some scary moments at one area pool when a six-year-old boy is found floating in the water.
It happened around 5:30 Saturday evening at the Barracks West Apartments.
Authorities say some people at the pool saw the child in the water.
He was unconscious and not breathing.
They pulled him from the water and gave him CPR and that's when he began breathing again.
"Children just have a tendancy to wonder curiously. So, anything you can do to protect them from an incident like this, even if you weren't being neglectful, if you turn your head for a minute and your child falls in without a floatee, that can turn into a serious incident," said Sgt. Pam Greenwood, with the Albemarle County Police Deprtment.
The boy was taken to UVA Medical Center.
Police say it's not clear how long the boy was in the water, but he's expected to be okay.
Meanwhile police also say the parents could face child neglect charges, if it looks like they weren't watching their child.
