Hundreds of 12-16 year-olds auditioned in Charlottesville for a new film by the Coen Brothers. The writers are responsible for blockbusters like "No Country for Old Men," and "The Big Lebowski." Now, they're set to begin filming a remake of the 1969 movie, "True Grit."

Matt Damon and Josh Brolin have already been set to star in the film. But the movie is missing its leading lady. The casting call asked for someone who could re-create the character "Mattie Ross." The character is said to be tough, strong and "tells it like it is."

One girl and her mother drove an hour to Charlottesville from Chesterfield, Virginia. "I'm kind of nervous," said Savannah Lee. "But whatever they give me to do, I'll do."

Filming is set to begin in March and is due out for release sometime next year.

I also went to this audition...i myself thought that it was not a great audition, because the lady watching the auditions asked us only to tell her about ourselves and get out. she did not give us a chance. so whoever got that part was very lucky to get a chance.

I auditioned, and I thought it was a wonderful experience. It has helped prepare me for later on in life, even if I don't end up with a callback.
