Members of the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors will soon be making a little more money.
Wednesday they voted to up their paychecks about $500 next year, bringing their total salary now to just over$14,000. That's about a 4% raise.
"This is something that's pretty much done annually, the board raise is uh, as a matter of policy we have provided raises year to year that are comparable to what the percentage raises staff receives" said Dennis Rooker, Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.
The board also announced the addition of six new voting machines to the county. They're ready to be used in the next election.
