The next time you go to cast your vote in Albemarle County, it may be on a new machine.

The Board of Supervisors announced on Wednesday that six new machines are on the way and will be ready to go for the next election.

"We want to try to make voting as easy as possible for people and that means trying to avoid long lines at voting-polling places," said Board Member Dennis Rooker.

The new machines will speed up the time you spend at the polls, according to Rooker.
