Students at Stony Point Elementary have made a friendship quilt to send to students in Guatemala. The local students have become pen pals with the students from Guatemala over the past year. The quilt features many images of things symbolic of life in virginia.

Anne Geraty, a teacher at Stony Point Elementary says, "The children of all the grades participated in this project and each square in the quilt symbolizes something about the state of virginia"

The friendship quilt and many other student art projects were on display this afternoon at Stony Point.
