Paris Headed Back To Jail

June 8, 2007

Paris Hilton will soon be back in a cell. This after a emotional appearance before the judge who had sentenced her in the first place, a judge angry over her early release.

Shouting "it's not right!", a weeping Paris Hilton was taken from an L.A. courtroom just seconds after a judge had ordered her back to jail to serve the entire 45-day sentence for her probation violation on a reckless driving case

Her arrival at the courthouse was a photo op she'd wanted to avoid.
Photographers risked their lives for the best shot.

The judge called in the heiress to review the sheriff's decision to release her into house arrest on Thursday, based on some undisclosed medical condition.

She had spent just four nights in prison on a 45-day sentence stemming from a reckless driving case. Judge Sauer, who had specifically said no to house arrest, was not happy with the sheriff's move.

In a last minute flurry of confusion, Paris was first ordered to appear in court in person, then told she could participate by phone, then ordered once again to come in person. Public outrage on this whole situation is loud and clear.

"I think if it were me or you, we'd have been made to spend the full term in jail," said tourist Vickie Robinson.

Even so, it seems the world can't get enough of this public spectacle. While the uproar is surely taking a toll on the Hilton family, the heiress's 15 minutes of fame are not over yet.
