For the 20th consecutive year, the Chandler Law Group is sponsoring their Safe Ride Home Campaign. The program is a holiday tradition in the Charlottesville community to make sure your holiday celebrations stay safe.
The Chandler Law Group's Safe Ride Home program will offer free cab rides from December 18 through New Year's Day.
"I get stopped on the street or in the stores all year long and people come up to me and say, 'Mr. Chandler, I want to thank you for the safe ride home. It's a wonderful thing you do for the community.' It's a nice feeling," said Brad Chandler.
If you feel you have had too much to drink, the law firm will pay for a cab ride within ten miles. All you have to do is call a participating cab company and mention the program. However, the ride must be home and not to another bar or restaurant.
Since 1990, the Safe Ride Home program has paid for nearly 40,000 cab rides.
