Winter Storm Causes Power Outages in Charlottesville-Area
More than 4,200 customers are left in the dark tonight. Dominion Electric reports that people in our area will remain without power until Sunday afternoon.

Dominion Electric customers remain without power Saturday night due to major outages in the area.
While some of the 4,200 customers affected will have their power restored this evening, some won't see the light till Sunday afternoon.
Dominion reports:
-775 customers are without power along South Pantops Drive in Albemarle County.
-More than 550 outages in the Locust Hill Farm area of Route 53 in Charlottesville.
-310 customers in Palmyra are without power.
-210 customers are awaiting the power to return around Rt 250 in Batesville.
Dominion says a majority of those customers will go the night without power. Tomorrow afternoon, Dominion expects help from crews outside the area.
Dominion asks that you report an outage in your area by calling 1-888-667-3000.
