Mr. Wizard Dies At Age Of 89

Don Herbert, also known as Mr. Wizard, died Tuesday at the age of 89. Herbert had bone cancer and died at his suburban home in Bell Canyon, California according to his son in law Tom Nikosey.

Herbet introduced generations of kids to the joys of science as TV's Mr. Wizard. During the 80s Herbert starred in "Mr. Wizard's World" on Nickelodeon.

He was among the first night guests on the debut of "Late Night With David Letterman." He is survived by six children and stepchildren and by his second wife, Norma, his son-in-law said. A private funeral service has been planned.
