Local Church Holds Safety Fair

June 16, 2007

Some local children got a lesson in safety first to kick off Vacation Bible School on Saturday at Belmont Baptist Church.

The church held its first-ever safety fair. Kids had the chance to sing, dance, play games and tour firetrucks and ambulances. The pastor says this is just one way to show children how important safety and rescuers are to the community.

The church is considering making this an annual event.
