The conviction will stand against a man accused of killing his estranged wife and dumping her body in a Charlottesville hotel room.

Anthony Dale Crawford was convicted in 2007 of killing Sarah Louise Crawford. However, in 2008, an appellate court reversed the murder conviction. This week, the Court of Appeals of Virginia over-ruled that panel and upheld Crawford's original conviction.

Crawford's Attorney says his client might appeal to the Virginia State Supreme Court.

Sarah Crawford was found dead at the Quality Inn in Charlottesville in November 2004. Crawford's husband was charged with capital murder not long after her body was found.

Prosecutors said the Crawfords were separated, and Sarah said she feared for her life. She even sought a restraining order against her husband.

During the trial in 2007, the Defense said Anthony accidentally shot his wife once in the chest as he was trying to kill himself. His attorneys called gun experts to support their theory.
