Research Company Receives Boost

A local research company has received a $14 million investment to further study asthma and type two diabetes.

The company started by UVa faculty so far has studied a drug that could help patients who suffer from either problem.

A co-founder of the company said it’s important to move to the next phase of their research, because many people are affected by both conditions.

The studies will most likely take place in hospitals around the country and possibly around the world.
