State Police Release Toxicology Of Tech Gunman

June 21, 2007

The Virginia State Police say that a toxicology report shows that Virginia Tech gunman Seung-Hui Cho had no prescription or toxic substances in his system at the time of the shootings.

The toxicology exam was done as part of Cho's autopsy. State police say that they have received the autopsy reports on Cho and his 32 victims but will not release them because of the ongoing investigation.

The autopsy report did confirm that Cho was killed by a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Police say that after Cho killed 32 students and faculty members he shot himself as police closed in.
