Woodlands Day School Worker Found Not Guilty

July 2, 2007

The Woodlands Day School employee accused of assaulting a child was found not guilty Monday. Early last month police arrested Mashia Yusuf and charged her with assault and battery.

Lori Fielding, a mother of two children that attended Woodlands, said she witnessed Yusuf, or Kum Kum as she's referred to, abuse one of the children at the school.

Woodlands Day School fired Yusuf shortly after the incident but refused to comment on the charges or the acquital. Yusuf refused to speak on camera but did say that despite the people that said she was guilty, the judge said otherwise.
