Police: Street Race Ends in Va. Woman's Death
BRISTOL, Va. (AP) Police in Bristol say a 38-year-old Abingdon woman was killed after her car was struck by a car involved in a street race.

Police in Bristol say a 38-year-old Abingdon woman was killed after her car was struck by a car involved in a street race.
Police say Melinda Woodward was killed instantly Monday night after one of the cars involved in the street race struck her vehicle. Woodward was leaving the Bristol Mall when she got caught in the middle of the street race.
Charges are pending against the 19-year-old driver who allegedly struck Woodward's car. He and a passenger were hospitalized after the crash.
Police are seeking the driver of the other car.
