Cindy Sheehan, the peace activist whose son was killed in Iraq in 2004, will lead other activists in a rally in Charlottesville later this month.
Sheehan will travel from her peace camp in Crawford, Texas to Washington, D.C. She will make her way through Charlottesville Friday, July 20th at 6 p.m. at the West End of the Downtown mall.
In case of rain the rally will be held at the Albemarle County Office Building at 401 McIntire Road.
Sheehan, a Californian, also announced that she officially intends to run as an independent against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in 2008 if the congresswoman does not move to impeach President Bush by July 23rd, the day she expects to reach Washington, D.C.
