Greene County is moving fast to order a new 9-1-1 Computer System, theirs is faulty.

The recording device in the system that allows them to keep track of calls is unreliable, and often doesn't work.

"The device is older. It is becoming obsolete and its efficiency is in question" said Board of Supervisors Member Steve Catalano.

Virginia State Law requires all 9-1-1 systems to have a working recording device.

The new system will cost Greene County around $26,000.

Right now they are finding a company to help them finance the project.
