Travel and Leisure magazine has named Virginia one of five up and coming wine regions in the world. Virginia was the only American region named.
In the magazine's July issue the magazine says the state's wineries, authentic cuisine and accomodations led to the commonwealth's inclusion on the list.
Other regions included in the list, Italy, Spain, Chile, and New Zealand. Virginia has 130 wineries and is fifth in the country in wine producing.
