Former First Lady Lady Bird Johnson died Wednesday of natural causes according to a family spokesperson.
Johnson championed conservation and worked tirelessly for her husband, Lyndon Johnson's, political career. She returned home from the hospital late last month where she had been admitted for a low grade fever.
According to the spokesperson, Lady Bird was surrounded by friends and family as she passed away around 4:18 p.m. Wednesday. Johnson was 94-years-old.
