Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Blue Ridge launched a campaign for more mentors Thursday afternoon.

They're calling it 100 Mentors for 100 Kids in 2010. BBBS also launched a new Web site and Facebook page and introduced new staff members.

Charlottesville Mayor Dave Norris took over as executive director of the organization in November. He said they need adults who want to help the children in our area to volunteer.

"There's a whole lot of interest and excitement and support for Big Brothers Big Sisters. It had kind of a lull last year, but we're breathing new life into the organization on both sides of the mountain," Norris said.

BBBS has about 20 matches in the Charlottesville area and between 30 and 40 in the valley.
