Fairfax Police Warn Of Impersonators

July 14, 2007

Fairfax County Police are warning residents of possible police impersonators who are pulling over drivers.

So far there have been three incidents of fake officers driving unmarked cars with flashing blue lights on the dashboard.

One woman who was pulled over called 911when the man walked
away. She said she remembered advice about calling a supervisor if
a police officer is suspicious.

The woman described the man as having his pants tucked into tall motorcycle boots, wearing a short-sleeved shirt, and some kind of holster strapped to his leg.
