Pedestrian Struck And Killed In Richmond

Around 11:19pm Saturday night, Richmond Police responded to the 6400 block of Hull Street Road for an accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

A 1996 Dodge Caravan was east on Hull Street Road when it struck a pedestrian who was running across Hull. The initial investigation shows no evidence of speed or alcohol with the driver.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at Chippenham ER. The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The driver was not injured and no charges will be placed.

This brings Richmond’s traffic fatalities for the year to 16. Last year at this time the Department had recorded 11 traffic deaths.
