Crews will work to repair the Belmont Bridge on Wednesday, less than one month after the initial pothole patching. The city says contractors used a faulty asphalt for the patching, which caused the divots to reappear a week later.

The Belmont Bridge is bracing for more pothole patching.
The contractor who paved the Belmont Bridge several weeks ago will return Wednesday to repair additional potholes that have serviced since the initial paving last month.
Crews will work on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. At least one lane of traffic will remain open on the bridge in each direction during the road work, and flag people will be on scene to direct traffic.
City officials said during the first paving, the contractor used a faulty batch of asphalt that made the potholes reappear less than a week later.
