Hearing of Jason Marshman's arrest still doesn't make the reality of Ellen Herndon's son's death any easier.

Herndon lost her son, 28-year-old William Herndon back in June after a violent shooting along Hardy drive.

But even with Herndon's alleged killer in police custody, the family's questions linger.

"Why, just why, I mean if you didn't like him then don't deal with him, you didn't have to kill him," Aretha Herndon said.

And now the Herndon family prepares to see justice.

"We'll never put it behind us but we know he's resting in peace now," Ellen Herndon said.
