Feline Over Flow

July 26, 2007

Are you looking for a kitten? Well look no further than your local SPCA.

The summer months are breeding season for cats and the SPCA is full of furry little guys looking for a new home.

Officials say they take in over 400 cats and kittens every month in the summer.

They also say there is one main reason for the over flow of felines.

"If there's one thing we can ask of everyone and we can ask of ourselves its to spay and neuter our animals especially your cats and kittens. That's the only way that we will get over this problem," said Susanne Kogut, Executive Director of the Albemarle SPCA.
