McCormick Road Eastbound To Close

August 2, 2007

The eastbound lane of McCormick Road in Charlottesville will be closing for work to be done on Gilmer Hall.

The lane will be closed from 6 a.m. August 6th to 6 a.m. August 13th from its intersection with Bonnycastle Road to its intersection with Alderman road.

The westbound lane will remain open and traffic exiting Hancock Road will have to travel west on McCormick to Alderman. The lane will close to accommodate a 350-ton crane being used in Gilmer Hall renovations.

Parking to the east of the crosswalk by Hancock Road and two spaces to the west of the crosswalk will be closed until August 31st.
