Charlottesville's chapter of The Links Incorporated held their 7th annual brunch for the Virginia Festival of the Book Sunday afternoon.

They invited dozens of African American authors, including authors who have written about African American traditions and cultures. The Links Inc. members say it's an opportunity for the authors to share their books and their stories with the group.

"We're just having a wonderful time getting to hear about all the books, the people and how they came to become authors and share their essays and poetry or their books with us," said the President of The Links, Leah Puryear.

Authors from around the country were present at the luncheon, such as Carleen Brice, Nikki Giovanni and Sonia Manzano.
