Sunday night dozens of rescue personnel, including dive teams worked to pull a pickup truck out of the Sugar Hollow Reservoir in Albemarle County.

Witnesses called police when they saw the truck go into the water around 7:30 p.m. Dive teams later determined the truck did not have a person inside it when it plunged into the reservoir. Police say they believe someone deliberately put the truck in the water.

Investigators used the license plates to determine the truck was possibly stolen from New Mexico.
