Build-A-Bear Workshop Shares Grand Opening With Community

August 4, 2007

The Build-A-Bear Workshop opened its doors at Fashion Square Mall Friday by giving back to the community.

As part of the grand opening, local children from Effort Day Care made bears to donate to the UVA Children's Hospital and tri-area foster families.

The Bear Hugs Foundation also presented a check to the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA for $5,000.

The B-A-Bear Workshop also has an event going on Saturday called "Stuffed With Hugs". The program donates teddy bears to children in need of a hug during a crisis.
