Murder Suspect Hit By Metro Train

August 5, 2007

Authorities say a man accused of fatally shooting his wife and a barber was injured Saturday after jumping in front of a Metro train.

Prince George's County officials say Terris Luckett was hit by the train at the Southern Avenue station about 2 p.m. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Police had been searching for Luckett since Thursday evening, when authorities say he went home and shot and killed his wife. Police say Luckett then went to a nearby barbershop and shot and killed a man his wife knew.

Investigators say Luckett believed his wife and the barber were having an affair.
