The Albemarle County Fair came to an end on Sunday, after a very successful week.
The rides, games and funnel cake are all be gone Sunday was the last day of the Albemarle County Fair.
The 26th annual fair kicked off last Tuesday and ended Sunday with a wheel barrel race as the special event. Some of day's attendees say they wanted to save the best for last.
"Well my son and I come every year and we try to come when it's a little more quiet. Preferably a little less hot, but today he decided he wanted to go on the last day" said one mother.
"My favorite part of the fair is the giant slide and it's very fun" said one child.
"See that spinning thing over there. That's my favorite thing, it's like so crazy, but it's really fun" said another child.
Organizers say they are hoping for a bigger and better 2008.
