Monday, volunteers and workers at Domino’s Pizza in Charlottesville did more than just deliver pizza. They delivered thousands of food items to dozens of people in need.
“Dinner With Andrew” is an annual food drive held in memory of Andrew Baber. He was an employee of Domino’s when he died nearly six and half years ago.
In the last three weeks, about 2000 food items were collected. Organizers hope to feed about 100 people in need.
Food is also being donated to area food banks.
This is the seventh food driver in honor of Andrew. Organizers also donated money to the SPCA.
