Charlottesville is preparing for a new spray ground to open in the middle of May at Forest Hills Park.
The newly constructed park will be the largest spray park in Charlottesville. Officials said they expect it to be popular because it's designed for all age groups.
"We've kind of structured this so that families can congregate in one section or another, depending upon the age of the children," said Brian Daly, the city's director of Parks and Recreation.
Funding for the park came from the city's capital improvement program. It also features two new playgrounds and two new picnic shelters.
