August 18, 2007

Albemarle County Police say you could be the victim of identity theft if you recently shopped at the First Colony Winery.

Police say the place was robbed last month. The thieves stole cash as well as credit card receipts.

Police warn that anyone who used their credit card at the winery between Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 should check to see if there have been any fraudulent charges.

If so, contact police and file a report.
