There's a new way to apply to the largest employer in the Charlottesville area.
Saturday the University of Virginia held an open house to help applicants learn how to apply with the new system.
Jobs at UVA is an online application process replacing the old paper application.
The new process went live July 30th, and since then they've received over 2,000 applications.
The Human Resources Department says the system is available 24/7 anywhere there is internet access.
"We're very excited about today in that this is our first attempt since we've gone live to reach out to the community. The community has been very supportive and has embraced this new online application system," said Lucinda Childs-White, Dir. of Recruitment and Staffing.
