The "Back to the Future" ride will see it's final passengers Monday. Universal Studios Hollywood is replacing the ride, based on the movies with Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, with a new "Simpsons" attraction.
"Back to the Future," the ride was the theme's park first high tech thrill ride. Passengers are strapped into a carriage modeled after the film's DeLorean time machine and ride in front of a film projected on a domed screen, which gives the illusion of flight.
The new "Simpsons" ride is scheduled to debut next year.
