Accountant Elwood "Bunky" Bartlett is expected to appear at Maryland Lottery Headquarters Tuesday to validate what he says is a winning ticket in the Mega Millions Lottery.
Bartlett announced Saturday that he was holding one of the four winning tickets sold in the 12 participating states. Lottery officials say a winning ticket was sold at a liquor store in the same shopping center where Bartlett sometimes teaches his Wiccan beliefs at a New Age gift shop.
Bartlett is an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church and said he was drawn to Wicca about 20 years ago. The other winning tickets were sold in New Jersey, Texas and Virginia.
