A man charged with stealing a car, leading police on a chase and crashing into the roof of a Charlottesville home has learned his punishment.
Tsaye Simpson pleaded guilty to several charges, including hit and run and grand larceny, stemming from last August's incident on Rugby Road.
Simpson will spend three years in the Department of Juvenile Justice until he turns 21. He could have been sentenced to 22 years in prison, but the judge suspended that if Simpson stays out of trouble.
Simpson must also pay back more than $15,000 in damages.
