UVa Law School Dean To Step Down

The Dean of UVa's Law School, John Jeffries, will step down next year, ending seven years of service.

Jeffries is credited with strengthening the school's financial standing, and improving the quality of the student body and enhanced curricular and public service programs.

After a sabbatical Jeffries will return to teach full time at UVa. Jeffries, a civil rights and federal courts scholar, joined the Law School in 1975 and became dean in 2001.
