Parents and families across our area are taking the recall very seriously.

Robin Maxwell remembers playing with Barbie dolls when she was growing up, but she never remembered those dolls being anything dangerous.

Robin is a mother now and her first priority is the safety of her children, including her nine-year-old daughter Summer.

"This is another toy that was totally recalled that they put a notice out about that we did have because of a magnet problem that it had," said Maxwell, "What I do is I normally go on the website, Mattel is actually great about putting all the information out there. I look up the items that they have listed on the website, and then I print them all off, with pictures and then I go up to our Barbie area and I try to cross reference the information to see if there's anything that we have that is similar."
